I can't believe that another year has come and gone. I have already begun to be teased by my fellow teachers as to whether I will make it through the school year without being admitted to the hospital.
In March of 2008, I was in a head on collision on my way to school. It wasn't my fault, but my car was history and my right leg was broken in six places. I had to have two surgeries, lots of physical therapy and 2 months off from work. Then in April of 2009, I had been very sick over Easter weekend. I even missed my teammate's wedding. I took myself to the ER on the Monday after Easter thinking I had the flu. Instead I found out I have overian cancer. Thank goodness that the surgery was all that I needed to have done, although the surgeon was sure that I would be having to have chemo. In the 30 years he has done this I was the second case that was the type I had that didn't require chemo.
I feel so much more healthy than I have in years(I probably had the cancer when I had the accident)amd I am looking forward to a new grandchild in July. I know that I am blessed.
